    • 1880 census indicates that Malissa was the mother of 10 children,with 6 living All 6 are accounted for via 1880 & 1900 census records. Her 11th child, Selma, wasn't born til late 1890. / I am in possession of a copy of a letter re: the Confederat e pension application of M.A. Nolan, widow of H. Clay Nolan. The letter is dated April 12, 1839, and a handwritten note at the bottom says Malissa was no longer living as of that date but does not give date of death. Date of death comes from cemet ery headstone.
