    • Per Uncle Lewis Beaube, he worked as a farmer and a blacksmith. "He was very expert with working with iron, he could just make anything. The last time I remember seeing him, I almost got drowned in the river..." Grandpa Jim was "in and out" durin g the time when his children were young. Grandma Siney pretty much raised the children alone, and worked hard at odd jobs, cleaning, washing, etc. in order to take care of the family.
