      manuscript written 1987-88 by Frances Campbell Foster, page 35:

      NOTES: He lived in Sedgewick, KS. Was an attorney and Judge. "In a letter
      dated Sept.
      25, 1934, Charles Lyman had written that he "had strayed from the clanearly,"
      returned to Hardin County in 1882 and went back to Kansas in 1883. He and
      Dora were married in 1882, but there is no information concerning her orher
      family. He was a judge in Sedgwick, Kansas (attorney); one report statedthat
      he was elected governor of Kansas, another states that it was his partnerwho
      was governor."
