      In 1865 James Wood Clark was apprenticed to William C. Ransdell to learn
      farming. He was to receive a good horse, clothers, and $100.00 at the
      completion of his apprenticeship in 1871. He thought of William Ransdell
      as a father, and was married on December 28, 1871 in William Ransdell's
      house. James Clark died of Typhoid Fever in 1910.
      James Wood Clark was the Great-Grandson of Mary Ann Maddox and first
      husband Aquilla Corley, and his wife Martha J. Turner was the
      Great-Granddaughter of Mary Ann Maddox, and second husband Joshua Turner.
