    • Catharine S. Sharplin was born about 1815 in St Tammany Parish, Louisiana. That Catharine is even a Sharplin is all speculation. William Sharplin had 2 girls and 2 boys in 1820. They would have been ?, Jeremiah, Catherine? and Sarah. In 1830 he had four girls, Catherine?, Sarah, Eleanor and Kaziah. Catherine married Noah B. Stewart about 1835. Her first daughter was named Rebecca after her mother and her other two girls had the same names as two of her
      sisters. In 1850 she had two Sharplin children living with her in Madison County, Mississippi, although the last name
      appeared to be spelled Shaflin. Etc.
      Catharine S. Sharplin and Noah B. Stewart were married about 1835. Noah B. Stewart (son of Charles Stewart and Nancy ?)was born about 1810 in Tennessee. He appeared in the census in 1840 in Madison County, Mississippi.40 He appeared in the census in 1850 in Madison County, Mississippi.41 He appeared in the census in 1860 in Madison County, Mississippi.42 He appeared in the census in 1870 in Johnson County, Texas.43 He served in the military during the Civil War.44 He was a private in Company G of the 21st Mississippi Infantry Regiment, CSA.
