      Upchurch Bulletin, vol. 1, p. 13, 1980. Charles was born about the
      time that his family moved to the Moccasin Creek area of North
      Carolina from Brunswick County. After serving in the Revolutionary
      War, he returned to North Carolina, but then went to Georgia before
      1820 probably with a large family.

      Upchurch Bulletin, vol. 13, p. 49, 1992. He and his family went to
      Putnam County, Georgia, about 1820. There are four known children.
