      to Buchanan County, Missouri. After the death of his first wife and his
      remarriage, he removed to California and then on to Lowell in Washington
      Territory.

      NOTES: From a letter dated 30 Dec 1958 from Asa C. Davis of BloomfieldMissouri
      written to Frances C. Foster:
      Frances Foster:
      "My uncle Asa moved to northwest Washington, settled near Snohomish whichlater
      became a town Snohomish-near Everet and not far from Seattle.
      Uncle Asa had two boys, one named John-I do not recall the other's name.John
      started to compile the Davis family record. After I filled out theinformation
      about my family I sent the book back and never heard from him again."
      From a letter from George H. May (son of Kathrine Elizabeth Davis) toFrances
      Foster: "Uncle Asa as we called him, was an early pioneer here inWashington
      Terr. and died in 1901 (approximately)."
