      Notes for COURTNEY STEWART.
In August or September my father went to Savannah to buy goods. When he got there he found out the Yellow Fever was there. Before the men got home, they were all sick. My father died on the 10th of September. Courtney never saw her father and it was the one great want of her life. She had pretty black hair and eyes. She and brother Wolquitt kind of resembled each other. Ref: RECOLLECTIONS OF BLACKSHEAR 1857 to 1913-1914 by Miss Nellie Stewart (daughter of Elias).

Her bridesmaids were her two couldins, Nancy Strickland, who was one year older than Courtney and Maria Strickland, Unlce Allen's daughter.

      Died of paralysis.
